The Huffington Post highlighted ten SEO experts, myself included, to find out what our go-to SEO tool is. For me, it’s all about Searchmetrics. It lets you easily dig deep into information, while giving you clear numbers on what your competitors are doing right. Since I got the bronze in Entrepreneur’s “Top 50 Online Influencers in the World” list, HuffPost wanted to know my tricks for finding content, key phrases, and making the most of my SEO efforts.
You’ll also want to find out which tool Neil Patel uses. Ahrefs is his favorite SEO tool because it has the latest back link data. Having data on your competitors doesn’t mean much if it’s not up to date, and Patel says that—at the moment—Ahrefs is keeping up in real time. Chris Makara prefers Ahrefs, too, although he cites it as the fantastic link analysis. However, “it’s definitely not the cheapest tool,” admits Makara, and Patel calls it an investment.
Kristi Hines loves Rival IQ for the insight into the competition’s paid search, social media, organic search, and overall website design strategies. As a freelancer, Hines really needs to deliver SEO for herself and her clients.
